I worked on a set of illustrations for Ashoka University's Centre for Social and Behaviour Change as part of the communication team at Commonplace. The work supported social media communication around nutrition, sanitation, vaccination and women's financial empowerment. I began with pencil-and-paper sketches and shared them with the team to establish the direction before developing a finished colour illustration. Once that treatment was agreed, I carried it into the rest of the set, keeping the colours close to CSBC's brand guidelines. The visual language combines a hand-drawn feel with familiar people and everyday objects, so the messages stay clear without becoming overly polished vector scenes. The final deliverable was a small set of illustrations handed over for the team's social media communication.

Outcome
The team was responsible for communicating behaviour-change ideas through social media, with an existing brand system that the illustrations needed to follow. My contribution sat within that wider communication and strategy work. I focused on the artwork and on finding a visual approach that could carry several different messages without feeling disconnected from one post to the next. The subjects involved everyday decisions and practices, including food, hygiene, vaccination and women's self-help groups. The work formed part of CSBC's LiFE initiative. I wanted the illustrations to remain recognisable and readable while avoiding a treatment that felt too uniformly vector-based. The hand-drawn quality was part of that approach, alongside the brand colours and simple, direct compositions.
